Contemporary Noise   6 comments

In the hurried strife
of the everyday rush
 The cacaphony of life
is a murderous crush.

With all the demands
Of each day’s shifting sands
Constant cares never cease
and the heart knows no peace.

Where have we gone so wrong ?
Have we lost the music of the song ?
Lost the happy mirth of laughter
Condemned to drudgery ever after ?
