Remembrance   7 comments

Bright red hair,
Laughing green eyes,
On a blanket fair

In the park she lies.

A musical voice
Like a tinkling bell,
A mischievous laugh
We all loved so well,

A smile so bright
Would light a room
Love to fill your heart
And banish your gloom.

This mysterious nymph
Would steal into your heart
Make her home in your soul
And would never depart.

Common, sophisticated
And unnaturally wise
Enamored of beauty
But hateful of lies.

She’s a scholar, a beauty
A tramp, and a queen
She is some of each
And all in between.

Salty and sinful.
A common man’s saint,
With the heart of an angel
Love knows no restraint

No longer with us
Soul has gone to the skies
Now a rose decorates
The sad ground where she lies.
